Dive Sites in Bali - Gili Biaha

Gili Biaha  a twenty-minute ride by Jukung, the local fishermen’s boat in northerly direction from Puri Bagus Candidasa is a rock offering fine dive sites – a steep, terraced wall ranging from twelve to twenty five meters, another terrace from around twenty eight meters dropping to over 40 meters, beautiful overhangs, a shark cave and, at Biaha’s northern end, the famous “blowhole” –where under certain conditions water speeds through an underwater channel and is blown out on the rock’s surface. Biaha can be subject to extremely strong currents, so diving is not always possible.

All three Gilis can be reached within seven to twenty minutes by Jukung, seating two to three divers geared up but for tank and jacket which are put on in the water – our friendly dive masters will help you gear up. All Jukungs have a ladder, so getting back into them is fairly easy. Furthermore, you experience a bit of local flavour.

After diving Tepekong and Mimpang, divers are taken back to Puri Bagus Candidasa where they can relax during the one to one-and a half hour’s interval.
Those diving Biaha, either stay on the boat or are taken back if they chose one dive only.
